"On Wednesday, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 3, a bill cosponsored by U.S. Representative Justin Amash (MI-03) to prohibit federal funding of abortions and abortion coverage. The bill passed 251 to 175.
"The bill would make permanent current federal laws that prohibit taxpayer dollars from being used to fund abortions. In addition, the bill would prevent taxpayer dollars from subsidizing insurance providers that include coverage for elective abortions."
