"'I think Ron Paul and I are saying the same things. The notion of freedom and liberty, a balanced budget, gun rights, gay rights, slash warfare spending, slash welfare spending. But I don't think Ron Paul is going to win the nomination. So, this is a really important message that needs to continue to be delivered,' Johnson said.
"Johnson hopes to win the Libertarian nomination and be the third party candidate to take on Obama and Mitt Romney, who he believes will win the GOP nomination."
