July 8, 2013 - "Libertarianism is not a fringe movement. So says Dan Dominato, the libertarian candidate for the riding of Windsor-Tecumseh.

“'I think (libertarianism) is very well represented the world over, and works in many different scenarios,' said Dominato, 28. 'Our ideas are not fringe or extreme. It’s only our name that’s on the fringe…. Our major battle is getting name recognition.'

On Monday, the Ontario Libertarian Party officially announced Dominato and its other candidates for the five ridings in the province where MPP seats will be up for grabs in the Aug. 1 byelection.

Still, Dominato insists that Windsor-Tecumseh voters are ready for libertarianism. 'I’m happy to explain it to them, and a lot of people really like it,' said Dominato, a Maidstone resident.... 'Yes, we have a lot of ground to make up, if we’re going to win seats,' he admitted. 'But this is how it gets started, people like me being fed up and getting out, hitting the streets.'
