Latinos give Johnson 16%, new town hall Aug. 18

Gary Johnson Gains Among Latino Voters in New Fox News Poll - Elias J. Atienza, The Libertarian Republic:

August 13, 2016 - "Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson is making inroads with Latino voters, according to a new poll released by Fox News Latino. In the poll, Johnson is tied with Donald Trump statistically, with 16 percent of Latinos saying they would vote for him. Seventeen percent said that they would vote for Trump and 60 percent said they would vote for Hillary Clinton....  Johnson almost doubled his total among Latino voters. In the last Fox News Latino poll, he was polling at 9 percent....

"Johnson has already snagged a GOP advisor as his Latino Outreach Director. In addition to this, a PAC was formed by two prominent Latinos, former Congressman Juan-Carlos Planas and former National Puerto Rican Coalition CEO Rafael Fantauzzi."

Fusion to Host Libertarian Town Hall This Wednesday: Josh Guckert, The Libertarian Republic:

August 13, 2016 - "Fusion announced on Friday that it will host the Libertarian ticket of vice presidential candidate William Weld and presidential candidate Gary Johnson for a town hall this Wednesday, August 18 at 8 p.m. ET. It will be hosted by Jorge Ramos and Alicia Menendez.

"This will mark the third of four thus-far scheduled Libertarian town halls. CNN hosted the first two, on June 22 and August 3, and Fox Business (with John Stossel) will host the fourth on August 26.

"The Fusion channel, which is about three years old, is a Hispanic news and satire channel owned by Univision. Listings for the channel can be found on its website. It hosted Hillary Clinton for a town hall in January. Donald Trump previously agreed to talk with Ramos, but has not yet scheduled the interview."
