Poll: 6% of Republicans would vote for Libertarian Gary Johnson - West Palm Beach Libertarian | Examiner.com:

"According to a new poll out yesterday by Public Policy Polling, if the election for the President of the United States was held this past week, Libertarian Party Candidate Gary Johnson would receive 6% of the Republican vote, with 75% of the nation not knowing who Johnson is. This is far better than the 2% he was receiving when running as a Republican last year. Johnson changed from the GOP to the Libertarian Party late last December....

"In a poll last year by the same Public Policy Polling found Johnson to be the most popular of the candidates in their home states. Johnson garnered 44% popularity in his home state of New Mexico while Mitt Romney only received a 40% rating by those from Massachusetts. This is important as it shows Johnson could be polling much better if people knew who he was as his issues seem to closely match the bulk of American values."
