According to Mr. Paul’s Web site, his one-day 'money bomb' aimed at collecting funds during Thursday’s Republican debate netted his campaign more than $1 million.... One million dollars is sure to keep Mr. Paul in the campaign throughout the summer....
"Mr. Paul does not typically pander to the Republican establishment or the primary electorate. He says things that are unpopular with most Republicans (like his opposition to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan). And he ignores the political dangers of talking about slashing social programs for the poor and elderly.
"But that approach seems to encourage his supporters to open their wallets."
