Sep. 9, 2011 - "Indie distributor Cross Country Entertainment has acquired the Canadian rights to Paul Johansson’s Atlas Shrugged: Part 1, the independently financed adaptation of the Ayn Rand novel.
"Vancouver-based Cross Country, which is co-run by Zanne Devine of Pacific Northwest Pictures and Michael Taylor of Multiple Media Entertainment, grabbed all rights to the $10 million picture, which was independently released stateside in April 2011.
"News of the Canadian distribution deal emerged Friday at the Toronto International Film Festival."
