May 14, 2012 - "Ron Paul effectively ended his bid for the Republican presidential nomination Monday, with the Libertarian-leaning Texas Congressman announcing that he will no longer spend money campaigning in states with upcoming primaries.
"While Paul said that he would not longer spend money campaigning, he said the campaign would continue to work in the state convention process.
"'We will continue to take leadership positions, win delegates, and carry a strong message to the Republican National Convention that Liberty is the way of the future,' Paul said.... 'I hope all supporters of Liberty will remain deeply involved - become delegates, win office, and take leadership positions. I will be right there with you.'"
