August 31, 2012 - "Libertarian Party candidate Allan Dettweiler wants to advocate fighting the deficit and giving Ontarians the choice to purchase private health insurance and to send their kids to publicly funded religious schooling.
“We’re in a pile of trouble,” Dettweiler said of Ontario’s $15-billion deficit.
"He says that giving people a choice and combating state-legislated 'monopolies' like the LCBO and Ontario Power Generation is what would lead Ontario to a more prosperous future.
"He maintains that Libertarians still cherish Ontario’s public health-care system, but would merely give doctors and patients the option of purchasing private insurance."
