March 4, 2012 - "With the final results tallied from the Washington State’s Saturday caucuses, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney held onto a strong lead, while Texas Representative Ron Paul narrowly edged out former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum for second place.
"Romney finished the night with 37.6 percent of the vote, followed by 24.8 percent for Paul and 23.8 percent for Santorum, according to the Associated Press tally. Former House speaker Newt Gingrich trailed with 10.3 percent.....
