North Korea smuggled in Biden ballots says Stone

Roger Stone claims North Korea boated in votes for Biden 'through a harbour in Maine' | The Independent | - Namita Singh:

December 4, 2020 - "In a new set of unsubstantiated allegations of voter fraud, Roger Stone, a longtime friend and a former adviser to President Donald Trump on Thursday said that North Korea interfered in the US presidential elections. Appearing on far-right radio programme  The Alex Jones Show, Mr Stones claimed that there was 'incontrovertible evidence' that the votes were brought into the US through Maine. He didn’t present any himself.

"'I just learned of absolute incontrovertible evidence of North Korean boats delivering ballots through a harbour in Maine, the state of Maine.... If this checks out if law enforcement looked into that and it turned out to be true, it would be proof of foreign involvement in the election,' said Mr Stone who was granted clemency by President Trump in July this year, after being found guilty of lying to Congress and intimidating witnesses during an investigation into election interference.

"The longtime Republican operative was convicted in November last year on seven counts for lying to lawmakers about communicating with WikiLeaks, tampered with witnesses and obstructed a House intelligence committee investigation into the president's 2016 campaign.

"The office of Maine’s Secretary of State hit out at Mr Stone for using his position as a prominent Trump associate to further such unfounded claims. 'Discussing a rumour such as this only legitimises it,' said Maine Secretary of State spokesperson Kristen Schulze Muszynski, in a statement to Newsweek. 'We have no evidence of any interference in our election, and we have completed our certification of the official results. We take voter fraud and interference allegations seriously and look into any substantiated claims. At this point, this vague rumour has absolutely no validity.'

"While Mr Stone’s allegations are among the more outlandish made about the US election, they are not made in isolation. The president and his legal team have repeatedly claimed the election was rigged and there was widespread fraud, though they have not presented any evidence of this in court and their lawsuits to stall the certification of the 3 November election have largely been rejected."

Roger Stone launches Cannabis Coalition

Roger Stone Wants Donald Trump to Legalize Marijuana | Time.com:

June 16, 2017 - "Roger Stone, a close confidant of President Donald Trump, is on a mission to convince Trump to legalize marijuana through a new lobbying group.

"Stone, a longtime Trump ally whose name has come up in the growing investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election, announced on Friday that he is forming the United States Cannabis Coalition, a new bipartisan organization that aims to get the Trump Administration to recognize the medicinal value of cannabis....

"'I am going to be working with a coalition of Republicans and Democrats, progressives and libertarians, liberals, and conservatives to persuade the president to keep his campaign pledge, and to remind the president that he took a strong and forthright position on this issue in the election,' Stone said at the Cannabis World Congress and Business Expo.

"While campaigning, Trump said he thinks legalizing marijuana should be a 'state issue, state-by-state.' In a 2016 appearance on Fox News, Trump said he was '100%' in favor of medical marijuana.

"But since taking office, the Trump Administration has indicated it wants to crack down on states that have legalized marijuana. In May, Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who has long opposed legalization, sent a letter to Congress asking lawmakers to allow the Department of Justice to crack down on businesses and people in states where medical marijuana is legal. Department of Homeland Security chief Gen. John Kelly has also criticized the legalization of marijuana.

"Stone said Trump's promise to uphold states' rights to legalize marijuana gave the President a 'slight edge' in winning the election.'It's our intention to identify, reach and mobilize millions of pro-cannabis voters to urge the President to keep his word,' Stone said."

Joe Lhota will decline Libertarian Party nomination for NYC mayor

Joe Lhota Will Decline Libertarian Party Nomination; Won't Co-Star With Kristin Davis | New York Daily News - Celeste Katz, Daily Politics:

April 10: "'Joe Lhota did not seek the Libertarian line and he will not accept it,' spox Susan Del Percio emailed the Daily News this morning in response to a story about the party endorsing Lhota for mayor at its convention Tuesday night. 'While he cannot stop this group from circulating petitions with his name, he will decline the nomination at the earliest possible time under state election law.'

"Lhota ... does have some Libertarian leanings. For example, he believes pot should be decriminalized.... But the former MTA boss and Rudy Giuliani deputy, who's made law and order a cornerstone of his campaign, might have found it a little awkward to appear on the ballot alongside self-proclaimed 'Former Felon' Davis -- who did time at Riker's Island after pleading guilty to promoting prostitution in the scandal that felled former Gov. Eliot Spitzer.

"No word yet from Roger Stone, the peripatetic operative whose been pushing Davis as a candidate for mayor (and previously for governor)."

Roger Stone Eyes Florida Run for Libertarians - National Review Online

Ex-GOP Bad Boy Roger Stone Eyes Florida Run - By Robert Costa - The Corner - National Review Online:

Feb. 7, 2013 - "Roger Stone, an infamous political consultant, tells National Review Online that he will probably run for governor of Florida.

"The former campaign adviser to Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan says he wants to run as a libertarian, third-party challenger to incumbent Republican governor Rick Scott and the Democratic nominee.

"'I don’t have any illusions about winning, but I’d like to carry the flag for the liberty movement,' Stone says. 'The Republican party is dead and it can’t be revived, so it’s time for the Libertarian Party to be a force.'

"Stone will make a final decision on a gubernatorial run by the end of the year. In the meantime, he’ll ask libertarian activists for their support.

"His politics have evolved since he once practiced the 'black arts', as Stone describes his past activities, for Nixon and other Republican contenders. He now supports marijuana legalization and open borders; on social issues, he is pro-choice and pro-gay-marriage. He’s also a fiscal hawk and detests 'Beltway Republicans' for their frequent 'spending orgies.'"

Roger Stone: Gary Johnson 2012: Letter From California

Roger Stone: Gary Johnson 2012: Letter From California:

March 8, 2012 - "I have long considered myself a Libertarian Republican. I have written extensively about gay marriage as an issue of constitutionally required equality, the expensive and fruitless folly of the 'War on Drugs,' abortion rights, and individual liberty. On February 13th 2012, I formally left the GOP to become a member of the Libertarian Party. I intend to support former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson as the Libertarian candidate for president.

"Many of my Republican friends have incorrectly chided me claiming that support for Johnson will merely reelect Barack Obama by siphoning votes from eventual Republican nominee Mitt Romney. This is wrong. Romney will lose a two-person race to Obama. Johnson, a more-than-credible candidate with a distinguished record of cutting spending and taxes and fostering a job boom during his eight years as governor, will ultimately pull votes from both Republican and Democratic nominees."

GOP trickster Roger Stone defects to Libertarian Party - The Reliable Source - Washington Post

GOP trickster Roger Stone defects to Libertarian party - The Reliable Source - Washington Post - Roxanne Roberts and Amy Argetsinger:

February 16, 2012 - "The Grand Old Party has lost Roger Stone.... 'On Monday, I left the Republican Party changing my Florida voter registration to the Libertarian Party,' he wrote Wednesday on his “Stone Zone” blog. '. . .To put it bluntly the Republican Party is hopelessly [expletive] up.'

"His withering assesment of the GOP extends to its top contenders for president: Mitt Romney 'converted to conservatism' to run; Newt Gingrich is a 'thrice married ego-maniac with delusions of grandeur'; Rick Santorum 'a religious fanatic who would tell other people how to live.'

"Stone, 59, was one of the most sought-after party insiders back in the day: He worked for Richard Nixon’s Committee to Re-elect the President and administration (and has a tattoo of Nixon on his back), Ronald Reagan’s presidential campaign, teamed up with famed political consultant Lee Atwater and had a hand in the 2000 Florida recount circus."
